NFS World Online Beta

Dunno if anyone else got the email, but there is an open beta for NFS World Online this weekend only. Sign up on the NFS Website Here and you should be sorted.

Beta downloads finish monday so get in quick :)

Yea Jamie, its only a beta so its free. It ended on Monday though but they might still be accepting signups

I think the final release of the game will be free as well.

Its classed as a "MMORG" or in other words Massive Multiplayer Online Racing Game (think like World of Warcraft, Runescape etc but racing game) and the main game is free, but you have to pay for extra vinyls, wheel choices etc etc so Itll be interesting to see how it turns out.

I found it very similar to Test Drive Unlimited. Unless TDU2 bombs badly I think this will get shelved behind TDU2 :(

The game concept is cool though, I could see it taking off once theres been more development etc done behind it

An Aus/NZ server would be nice once the final is released...some of these multiplayer races are lag city.

Strange online..i keep going through people o_O I lasted about 5-10 minutes before gave it the flick.

In the open world you can drive through other players but can still crash into AI vehicles. If you start a Multiplayer race you can then crash into other drivers.

Look at it this way, in the open world there could be well over 100 people online, maybe even more. Doing damage collisions for every single one over the massive map would cause immense lag and frag some peoples PCs
