Post by Bull » Fri Sep 10, 2010 2:50 pm

The follow up to one of the breakthrough games of whatever year it was released, has a new trailer showing off the 2 player Co-Op mode.

Go buy Portal 1 off steam (its pretty cheap) or buy the orange box (comes with TF2 HL2 etc etc) And play Portal from start to end and you will find out! Its not that long the single player story thing, I did it in around 2.5 hours from memory but well worth it!

No way of really explaining it without it sounding really dorky and kiddy until you play it!

Portal 2 is due out very soon, I for one can't wait. Hopefully we can get some Co-Op going on here too if someone else purchases :)

My two teenage sons are fans. There is also a user-built "mod" called Portal Prelude which IIRC they say is almost as good in quality as Portal and has similar gameplay to the final level of the original (it may need Portal installed for it to run?).

Ive been playing it last couple of days, definately enjoying it _b SP Is a lot longer this time round suitably so as it is a Stand alone game this time. I would say that giving Portal 1 a playthrough first will help to give you some background to the story but not essential.

Look forward to getting on some Co-Op with someone at some point...

Your getting close to where it starts getting better Pitty :) It goes from just being test chambers etc and into an actual story not far after where you currently are. But yeah the gameplay is much the same, but it is in a more practical way rather then just test chambers. Its like studying math at school then actually using it in a real life instance. Except this is fun. Math is not fun. Math is evil.

I'm at Chapter 3 in about the second or third room. Good to know that the test chamber thing ends pretty soon.

Also read that the first DLC will be free for all the platforms: http://www.gamingunion.net/news/valve-t ... -4864.html

Yup read about the free DLC planned for this game. Its a shame Valve make such few games, cause the games they do make and support are some of the best in the industry.

Just finished the SP. Didn't take as long as I thought and only was stuck on two of the levels. But yep, good ending and I'll have to do some co-op sometime.
