This game will be huge when it's completed. I plan to do a full preview write up once the publisher and completion date are confirmed. ;p

The German Version has gone Gold. Unfortunately the english version is still planned for release 1Q 2007. Atleast with the German version we will hopefully see some reviews later this month. I so want this to be a good game, but i have doubts about the production values and limited budjet involved.

O_o Way to encourage people to 'obtain it by other means'...

Well, on the upside, by the time the English version goes gold they should have found and patched any bugs they've missed. ;p

I think he's implying the publishers are encouraging other means.. by releasing it in one part of the world before others..

You can allready buy this online from a german site, the download is about 2.5gig and comes down in 2 files, you get CD keys emailed to you and a account login so you can retrive them if you lose them.

There is a german to English patch that makes everything in the game English and works really well, they have 2 patches out now and reports are of better frame rates and better helicopter flight physics.

I have messed with it for a few hours and I have it running fairly well, I think it looks better than BF2 so far allthough I still need to give it more time which i will do over Xmas.

Bah, buy the game in German and when your lady asks what you're doing, you can legitimately say "I'm not playing, I'm learning to speak German". :D _b

Mattly the download German version you can buy online converts to english in every way using the German to English patch made by Sickboy over at the flashpoint forums, the download version is the same as the german version they are selling in the shops. All game menus, text menus and in game voices are in english, in fact from what i can gather the in game voices in both the German & Czech were all ready in english.

Here is a link to the thread about the english conversion he started which is now at over 35 pages long.

Thats VR Concepts and the link can be found at the top of every forum page. I'm sure they will post you a copy Liquid and it will still beat that US release date.

Might be a little bit pre-emptive here as the paperwar is still on-going for a move to a new job that I've been after (into the last week hopefully of a 6 month battle) but as I'm currently shifting back to Palmy I'm pretty confident :)

Picking up ArmA from Typhoon and spoke to new boss who's quite interested to see it as they just had arrive the beta of VBS2 to trial out ( http://www.vbs2.com/site/index.html ), they've been running VBS1 as their main sim and are eagerly awaiting to see the improvements in ver 2

Next 6 months or so is going to be spent learning VBS2 and the other sims and systems that they run....so should be able to spam out a few co-ops etc in that time heh :D

I think there will be some great coop and vs games to be had in this, who's keen to form up a KSR clan for ArmA? :)
