The Ship - Free this weekend

Post by Bold » Thu Nov 02, 2006 9:43 am

Steam are running a free weekend for 'The Ship' this weekend. I haven't actually read too much about the game, but the basics are its set on a 1920's cruise ship, and you have to wander around and assassinate other players, without being seen. It sounds quite interesting, and is apparently 'critically acclaimed' so I've set it downloading :)

Cant find anything exact, but it claims to need 1.3GB of disk space.. so smaller than that :)

Late night was it? ;p

I haven't bothered RTFM'ing, but I take it there are AI passengers as well or is the whole population of the ship human players bent on assassinating a certain other human player?

I haven't rtfm'd either, but I gather there are at least AI security guards. If you get caught assassinating anyone you get a trip to jail, which is not good..

It does apparently have an offline mode which is all AI and has a bit of a story line.

Keep us posted Ron, it sounds like a good concept if it catches on. :)

If the numbers are there, we'll put some thought into the option and see how it weighs up. :)
