Mario if you go for any of the higher price options make sure you pick the CH stuff, I have a Thrustmaster Cougar Hotas and have hopefully sold it on, I will then be getting both a CH Fighter stick & USB thr from VR

Other than that get a X52

Many things to look at if you want a good quality joystick.

1: Wired or Wireless
2: Force Feed Back or none
3: Quality
4: Features

Personally FFB (Force Feed Back) is a waste of time, unlike a Steering Wheel, it's very hard to get an accurate represenation.

Wireless is a great option if you don't want clutter.

Highly recommend Pedals, or at least the Rubber Twist on the Joystick.

Quality:
No.1 is CH, made in America, and you can expect 5-10 years use.
No.2 is Logitech, good sticks, but they don't seem to be inspired by Gamers.
No.3 Saitek, Great Stick, good quality, but seem a little to plastic.

If you want a good mix, the Extreme 3D Pro Logitech is a good buy. $69 Stock is due in 2 weeks.

We Currently have the CH Fighter Stick, and the CH Flight Stick Pro instock. They are a premium product, and will give many years trouble free flying.
We've sold out of all our Logitech and Saitek, and waiting for more stock to land. People wanting to play FSX has stripped a lot of our stocks.

I use my momo pedals quite happily in flight sim etc :) You just need to set them to single axis and away you go..

The weighting on the momo pedals isn't all that different between gas and brake, so they work pretty well.

I'm using the Saitek X-45, works well and had no trouble with it :) X-52 is similar but a bit more fancy.

I would take a hotas over a single joystick like the logitech range any day.

Theres a new version of the X52 due out soon(?) called the X52 Pro. Allows games (mainly FS9 and 10) to show data on the LCD on throttle, things like radio stack etc.

Any idea of when its due out Typhoon, and approx price? I can't afford CH gear at the moment, well maybe the pedals, but not the throttle and stick at twice the price of the Saitek, and with out trim wheels..

The Yoke has a trim wheel.

It all comes down to what you can afford.

The CH Pedals not only act as Rudder, but also left and right Wheel brakes.
The Throttle Quadrant will allow you to control Flaps, Gear, bascially anything you program the CH Software too.
