A few of us have been thinking about a spot of fast paced FPS, and one of the better ones around is UT2K4.

Please put down if you are keen for a few rounds sometime.

For those that would like to join us, we do have stock for only $50.
Elsewhere it's $80-$90

If not I will grab a copy typhoon and fix you up on Friday or maybe i can swap you for gtr2 ordered and played for 5 mins from send it.

I think there is a new one coming out, but not for a little while yet, and ut2k4 has a rather large following so numbers for playing ut2k4 will be a lot higher than the new one coming out.

I have obtained my copy =p

Yes, Happy's right, UT2K4 has a huge following.

Problem with BF2 is mission structure, goals etc.... where UT2k4 is Unadulterated Killing.

Has fairly low system requirements, and is reliable. UT2K7 is due out next year, but will probably be DX10 like many new games.

Also, Inspire runs a UT2k4 server with an excellent config and some good mods / maps on it

it should show up in the list, I'll find what the address is tho so u can connect manualy, btw, if you need to connect by console in the game, you need to bring down the console (~)

then type:
open xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

The only mods on the inspire server are the UTcomp mod, and an anti cheat mod, they should download by themselves tho in about 5 mins when u connect to the server

Yup, I'm keen as well. The Inspire server doesn't show up via either the in-game browser or ASE - the only IP I could find was 203.114.130.1:7777 but it doesn't appear to be working.

That is the right IP, but you need to make sure you are patched up to 3369, should b a file with this name:

ut2004-winpatch3369.exe
