nVidia 165.01 XP/Vista Drivers

Post by Jetboy » Wed Apr 18, 2007 5:30 pm

And the old control panel is back :D

Well in a flash way, but its back to actually being able to work your way around easily...performance wise not sure what its like (sounds like Vista SLI gets a fair boost)

Nvidia site always spits me to older drivers because I've got a 7series card.

Anyone think I'll gain anything, apart from different control panel, by updating to these drivers.

From one of the users over at OCNZ Forums
Shockwave wrote:Tested these drivers with the 7800GTX in 3dmark06 running winXP.

84.21 = 4855 3Dmarks
93.81 = 4754 3Dmarks
165.01 = 4690 3Dmarks

They must just be optimized for Geforce 8 series.

For Geforce 7 or earlier, 84.xx drivers are still the best.
Cant comment on performance as have not run 3D mark on my machine

New 158.18 drivers for all flavours of Windows but they're specifically for the 8xxx series...
