Wednesday is not fixed so maybe Thursday?

Monday and Tuesday are racing nights, there is no racing on a Wednesday these days (except Stockcar Heat Teams but I don't think anyone here plays that) and Thursday is pool/pub night for the DuDs and Typhoon as well as many others like to go out on a Thursday night so that's why I went for Wednesday, but as long as it is after 9.00pm on a Thursday we should be home from pool ok.

We definitely need a quick run together to make sure we all know what we are doing, and maybe some quick tactics.

Sunday or Wednesday is probably the best for me.

I think 8 would be a good number, as there is an achievement in the game for playing on a team of 8 friends :)

Just an update from us lads over at [SCu]. We will have 7 players for tomorrow nights match at 8.30pm. What map do we want to use so that we can get some practice tonight? Also our first attempts at hosting have been unsuccessful and we are wondering if Riven and Inspire would be alble to provide a server for the match? For some reason our server wont show up and we will try working through the issues tonight.

I hope this is only a warm up match.. as 7 players is a bit short, TF2 really needs about 18-24 players all up to make it worth while IMHO

Also I didnt realise we were talking of having the matchup THIS week :O

KSR will have their own private server later today.

Bold - yes
Happy - yes
Riven - yes
Inspector - yes
Lumix - yes

Eviljack?
Stone?
Enigma?
Jetboy?
Growler - Thursdays Only
Stinger - When he gets back

OK so we need one more definite to match the [SCu] 7, Wednesday is out for Growler and Jetboy and I believe that it is guild night for Stone and Enigma so I'll give Jack a yell (he works at Massey) and see if he can make it. Any other KSR guys interested in playing TF2?

Do we call ourselves [KSR] or [FBI] or [DuD] or [Mi5] or something else?

Mattly - this Wednesday should be fine for a warmup, I'm sure both teams will want the opportunity to get a bit of practice in as a team and try some team tactics etc so we should look to a future date for some sort of more serious competition? This week we could rotate through a few maps and pick one or two we all like for the future comps. It seems that Thursday may suit a few more of our guys but I'm not sure what you guys have on your Thursdays.

Yea I agree Riven, 7 is fine for Counter Strike but this game and the maps require far more people, 10 or 12 a side would be the best number but if we get started and get some screenies up then we should get some more interest.

KSR.net.nz - TF2

20 players max for now

add it to your favourites, either with ksr.net.nz or 203.114.130.60

usual password.

eviljack will probably play, if we need some ring ins I'll have no trouble getting some, lx and iAGO r 2 examples :) but i'll need to confirm of course.

We should play the 2Fort map, I think it will be the best for a first clan game.
Whether it's a serious clan game or a practice makes no difference, we're all playing for a spot of fun o_O.

Practice on the KSR server tonight, 8.30 - 9.00pm?

With Jack we have 7 so lets make that our team for this week and start sorting what class we shall be and what jobs we need to do. 2_fort gets my vote.
Also we can talk what class everyone should be and some tactics on TS at the same time. I'll make an account for Lummie and Jack and set up a channel. Shall we be [KSR] for this one?

Yes this map is probably the best because most of us have had a few goes on it. We are under no illusion about how good you guys are, so we will ensure we are heavily intoxicated and have our monitors turned off to give you a fair chance. ;p

Nah I think we are going to get smoked, but we will put up a good fight.

OK, Jack is off sick and would rather not play if he isn't needed so I have replaced him with Bruce.

I think we need two maps. 2Fort and that one with the 3 cap points, I think it is cp_granary?

No time for practice tonight, I need some Megane practice.. I was planning to practice last night, but got too busy with TF2 instead..

I'll take any role that's required. Soldier tends to suit me most of the time, quite happy as a medic, heavy, engineer, scout.

Looking forward to smoking sack central :D

We should probably stick with just the one map to make things simple, also the CTF style of play far better suits clan matches than banger CP maps.

Thanks to Riven and InSPire Net for sorting out the server :)
