Team Fortress 2

Post by Sasquatch » Wed Mar 26, 2008 12:20 pm

Who here would be interested in playing the odd Thursday with TF2? I am curious to see if we have the numbers to run an alternate Thursday night thing with CoD4 with another FPS.

I've never played it but, thanks to the magic that is my special press only, game reviewers Steam account...I'm more than happy to give it a go :)

You have a special press only steam account as well?

I need one of them...

No...I do have a normal steam account and have TF2 (but have never played it) and am keen to give it a go.

I don't have TF2 but I see i can get one for $45.00 at gamesman. Or VRC if they can match that.

I hear through the grape vein that KSR dudes are very good at this game, and will kick SCu's butt :B I've put the question forward over at SimCentral to see how many would be willing to see if we/they can disprove the rumour.

Stay tuned.

Or about $36 ($US29.95) direct from steam :)

I'd recommend getting the Orange Box for about $61 ($US49.95) from steam, Portal and Episode 2 are well worth it.

If you don't want to download it all, go visit the DuD's and copy the steam cache files. If you buy a box copy, chances are you will still end up downloading up to a gig anyway in updates etc..

Honestly, there are far more KSR dudes willing to play this than SCu guys... Not sure its because TF2 is referenced to CS or due to the fact that SCu dudes prefer close to realism as you can get with the games available.

Next Thursday will be the last night of new maps in CoD4. After that I am calling a vote (in both forums.... (as i said before) what a bitch >:[ ) whether we keep the newish format or we go back to CoD4 vanilla. I am going to add a 3rd choice. That is TF2. I'll let the players decide what they want. :saythat:

I'm thinking a TF2 match might be fun..... I am soooooooo bloody keen on taking out Inspector and tea bagging his mug

If you want realism you should be playing hard core mode in COD4 >8p-\-<
