I think KSR community feel the same way about this as I do but it is very sad that Peter Barry Has Passed away tonight. Not only Have we Lost a great Entertainer on the track but His friends and family have Lost A husband, A father, A best mate. It is at times like these we need to band together and Send our Condolences to The Barry Family. Andrea, Olivia, Robert and Sam The entire Speedway community is standing with you at this time and everyone opens up their hearts to you.

Off the track you were as humble as they come, always there to do it for the fans, always had a laugh too, will never forget the nz chaps at wellys mate and i will still wear your "PETE THE WEAPON BARRY" t shirt with pride A TRUE LEGEND!!!!

A black day for nz speedway.Peter was always an entertainer, he went out there and used his stockcar how they are meant to be, week in, week out. He died doing something he loved.

R.I.P Hitman, you are in a better place now, it is just a shame you were taken from us all way too soon.

I know it is too soon, but when the information is available, can someone let me know the date for his funeral if it is going to be a public one, I would like to pay my respects.

This is indeed a sad day for all, especially his family and friends.

For the rest of KSR, Peter Barry was injured in a teams race at the Teams Race Champs and has unfortunately not recovered from those injuries. I'm sure you will join with the stockcar community of KSR in sending our condolences to his family.

Like Boppa i never actually had the pleasure of meeting the man in person nor had i seen him race before this past weekend but from footage i've seen and the huge following he had he seemed like a true warrior and a top bloke all round and its a sad day to hear of his passing.
