Yea mate, I'm thinking of using a swinging TV wall bracket as a starting point, you can pick them up for around $25 at Bunnings. :)

I have been asked by a few people for measurements of this cockpit so here they are. If you need any more info just ask and I'll try to help.

The cockpit is mainly built from 18mm mdf board which can be purchased at your local Bunnings, Mitre 10 or any other similar store. I purchased 2 2400 x 600 x 18mm boards and that would be about right if you were to use that for the flooring instead of the checker plate like I've used as I've got a piece of about 1300 x 600 left over. :)

Shot mate, post pics of your progress. One other thing that I will add is that the bottom is not connected to the sides, they are 2 separate pieces. The reason for this is that my seat is not on rails so cannot move back or forward. So to fix this the whole bottom section can move back and forward as it's not attached. Works sweet. :)

haha same as me I have to do something though its getting uncomfortable with a broken chair, a wheel that wont stay on the desk (or resets itself (: )

Only problem I have is I play FPS games competitively and a race seat isnt ideal for playing these it also well doesnt quite fit a 2.5m squared room >_< )
