Post Up Pics Of Your Sim Racing Cockpits
Hi all,
I'm looking at building a cockpit shortly, I've got a decent idea of what I'm going to do from searching the net but I'm very interested to see what people here have as I might see something that I haven't thought of or seen already. At this stage the majority of the cockpit will be constructed of MDF with some metal parts a possiblity for stability.
One thing that I'm looking seriously at doing is pulling apart my G25 pedals and mounting them upside down similar to the pic below.
Any comments or tips of what to do or what not to do when creating a cockpit are welcome.
Cheers

Re: Post Up Pics Of Your Sim Racing Cockpits
The cockpit I was planning on using as a starting point is actually up on that site with full plans of how to make it. I think I'm going to build something like the one below but with space for the monitor to sit in front of the wheel.
Thanks again Nodnerb the site is a huge help.

That clip shows a pretty insane setup Kinser.
I like how the shifter is mounted in that pic you've posted Obsc3ne, sort of doubles up as an arm rest by the looks of things. I wish I could afford to have 3 LCD's set up like that, that's awesome.

Re: Post Up Pics Of Your Sim Racing Cockpits
Got through a lot on this today. Still need to mount the pedals upside down and then give the whole thing a sand down and then it's ready for paint.

Re: Post Up Pics Of Your Sim Racing Cockpits
I might have to start putting pen 2 paper eh!
Wondering about pulling the pedals apart? Are you brave enough to do that? LOL i would but theres always the thought of man what if i stuff it up.... Have to buy a new G25 lol.
U have inspired me to try!
Just took my pedals apart...Pretty dam simple to do whats in that photo above... the bracet and everything is already there.. all you need to do is unscrew 4 screws for each pedal and theres your setup

Re: Post Up Pics Of Your Sim Racing Cockpits
Cheers for the comments guys. I mounted the pedals upside down last night so only paint left to do now. I might also add in a swinging arm for the keyboard and mouse to sit on but I'll set it all up and see how it goes without it first.
