Just being watching the TV1 News and saw that Inspire were at No2 on the "Top List of Internet Providers" :hshake: :thumb:

Telecom and Vodafone are towards the bottom of the list.

Funny....I don't remember anyone asking me for my vote....

I have a story about actrix, it's a long one....but worth a read :)

I signed up for their prepay dial-up plan many years ago.
No monthly charges, just throw some money on your account and it gets used up at 6c per minute or something (can't remember what the pricing was).

All is fine for about 9 months, then one day it won't let me connect...
So I call them and they tell me that my account is $2 in debit.
"Funny.... How can I go into debit on a prepay account?!" I ask her.
"Oh, you still have $8 on your account, but you haven't paid your $2 monthly account fee" she replies.
"Since when have I had to pay an account fee?" I asked.
"We changed your account structure last month" she says.
"And you didn't bother letting me know?"
"We sent you an email" she replied.
"But I never gave you my email address" I told her.
To this she answered, "Oh we made one for you, free of charge".
"Nobody told me about this new email address" I said.
And I shit you not....this was what she said....."We sent you an email about it after we'd made it for you" hahaha.

By this point in the conversation I was starting to get pretty over it all, so I told her to take the $2 out of my account (which still had $8 on it) and we could be done with the whole thing. I also told her that I'd be closing my account and taking my business to a company that possessed at least an ounce of common sense and logic.
Her answer to that was, "I can't take the $2 out of your account, because the account is locked as you haven't paid your monthly account fee."
"Well I'm not sending you $2 when you technically owe ME money!" I said.
"Then we'll be taking the case to Baycorp" she said.
I just laughed and hung up.
I then called Baycorp and explained the situation to them. The rep I was speaking to thought it was bloody funny.
Apparently it wasn't the first time that Actrix had threatened one of their customers with Baycorp's name. It seemed I wasn't the only person that got caught out by Actrix's "we'll make you an email address without telling you" scam.
Baycorp aren't the least bit interested in $2 debt collection haha.
