Metallica have confirmed they will be playing a one-off New Zealand concert in October.
The band kick off the New Zealand and Australia leg of their World Magnetic Tour at Auckland's Vector Arena, October 13.
Promoters and the band say the two-hour-plus show won't be stripped down for New Zealand, and will feature a stage in the centre of the arena.
Tickets go on sale 9am, Thursday May 13. Presales will be available from 12pm Tuesday, May 11.

The long wait is finally over as hard rock gods Metallica bring their World Magnetic Tour to New Zealand this October!

Taking to the stage for more than two hours Metallica will feature material drawn from throughout their career, performing in the round in the centre of the arena, on a custom built stage and with their full world tour production.
