Re: Meaner concert than Metallica
Oh, and whats a Megadeth?
Na don't mind them, can't stand Mustaines Vocals though, Hetfields aren't that flash but Mustaines aren't even close.
Megadeth have some cool riffs though.
And na Jamie I generally stop listening to bands as soon as screaming starts, it has killed so many bands that could have been so much more.

HAHAHA
Metal this and Metal that it's hard and fast in my book. Iv'e been to all Metallica's concerts and they all ROCKED HARD. Everyone there ended up with WHIPLASH and if the head in front of you wasn't banging you kicked there arse and banged it for them.
I've also been to the only Megadeth concert ever in NZ back in the late 80's early 90's and if you've never had your arse handed to you on a thrash metal platter then back then they wouldv'e.
Everyone should realise that these 2 bands set the president for all thrash back in the mid 80's which all the bands of today looked up to and wanted to be like. Like most band's though, to make it in the industry mainstream is the way to making it big. Tallica did it well and now there in the Hall of Fame for doing so.
I for one am gutted that they are not coming to chch but i've already seen them enough for a lifetime and the last concert was just great as the first, that's enough for me.....

Megadeath came back with Slayer and played in October last year.mopar wrote:I've also been to the only Megadeth concert ever in NZ back in the late 80's early 90's
And isn't Ashes of the Wake pretty much instrumental anyways (it's got the paragraph or so of talking at the start and the two lines at the end - not exactly singing/screaming)?
However, it is a Fing awesome song.

Re: Meaner concert than Metallica
Whats the point in comparing a band who have been around and succesful for 25 years (well all except st anger in my mind) against a band that been around 15ish.
Compare them to when they were both in their prime and then choose.
Like comparing elvis with.....someone of today (dont follow the genre.lol)
One
Dyers eve
Whiplash
Seek and destroy
Master of puppets
The rest are good but in my mind these stand above all else
And i quite like sung lyrics and not screamed or distorted ones
Just my personal opinion...
Just listened to some Lamb of god and like the instrumental and so on but the i spose youd call it "singing" didnt appeal to me.
