How am I meant to lurk anonymously in the background of these forums if I have to log in to see the off-topic board?

The act of intentionally disabling my online status would make me officially a stalker, and I prefer to keep my stalking unofficial.
As things stand, I can claim to just be too lazy to log in.

control panel>board preferences>hide online status... always offline :)
