Some of those look like a serious bit of kit. What's the speed they get to down the front straight?

Nice pics
One of the last kart meetings I did was Superkart nationals at Taupo, about 6 years ago..
Not sure on exact top speed of the 250s, but heading down the back straight at 130 in my 100cc KT, they would pass my like i was standing still..
Did you get any KT's at Nationals this year? They may not look as fun as a shifter, but get 5-6 of them bump drafting around the track, it gets pretty exciting.

No - no KT100s this year. Just the Rotax's, the Nationals (125's and 250s, not full bodywork) and the Internationals. Rotax has really taken over from the KT's at the moment, seems to go in cycles .... until something like the X30 (direct competitor) gets into NZ.

Wow, nice photo!!!
Yeah top speed for the front runners should around 220 - 225km/h at Manfeild.
Last time my little brother ran at Phillip Island he was clipping 235.
Quick stats
Minimum Weight with driver: 210kg
Power: 84-93 hp
Engine: 250cc stroke twin cylinder (Mine's a Yammy TZ250 out of the old GP bikes)
0-100km/h: 2.9 seconds
Lap times at manfeild: Karl Wilson was doing 1m06's
