Remember the Viking Mars Lander ?

That landed on Mars waaay back in 1976 ? Refresh your memory here.

Well here are the photos taken by the MGS - Mars Global Surveyor. And circling Mars right now, this thing can take photos of other spacecraft that have landed on Mars.

There's an acutal photo of the Viking Lander just sitting there - ok, you need to squint a bit - and photos of the current Mars rovers than are zooming around the landscape.

Rates very high on the OMG scale for me. Technology is an amazing thing.

The photos are very realisic unlike the apollo missions. Tch to think people actually have landed on the moon. O_o
