Re: RIP Derek Hill- Kiwi_nz
Wow, what can I say? When I was told about it on sunday Derek's name flashed through my mind, but I thought nah.....
Absolutely tragic. My thoughts go out to the families.
Like many others I never met Derek in person, but enjoyed racing with him over the years, and we were both involved somewhat with ORSM.
Maybe we should all run modified skins next round, with some sort of commemorative decal on the cars?

How about we turn his car into a pace car for the current and future leagues? Then it will always still be on the track with us.Danman wrote:Maybe we should all run modified skins next round, with some sort of commemorative decal on the cars?

Awesome idea Bold because no matter what type of cars the league is using his car will be there, also this means that the stockcar guys will have it as well. The skin can be added to every skin pack so new drivers have it as well.

It's a sad day when anyone dies via motorsport. I had some very good dices with Kiwi_NZ over the various leagues.
Condolences to both families.
Instead of rasing money for a trophy...why don't we donate the money to his family.

Re: RIP Derek Hill- Kiwi_nz
great idea, would be easy enough to do too I would think, but each league will need the rfm changed or a specfic rfm made eg NZRF_E21 for the BMWs, NZRF_Stockcars etc etc, unless the pacecar gets a skin done for it every time. Probably easiest to use a full car he drove with his skin on made as a pacecar.

i think that even tonight for the league that pole position should be empty for both races

I thought of that too, but too hard to do I think, you can't set nobody into position 1 in rfactor - or can you? I think if you change pos 1 to something else, whoever is next in line automatically winds up in p1.worldno1 wrote:i think that even tonight for the league that pole position should be empty for both races
