Most similar sized tracks are the same e.g Atlanta?
SimRacerHQ Rules Page
13. Pitting
Pit entries should be made off the racing line. Protests will be accepted for dangerous pit entries which affect other drivers. Any car punting another entering the pits will be penalized (Do not enter the pits late if cars behind you have to slow down).
When exiting the pits, ensure that you merge carefully and stay off the racing line until the track is clear or until you are back up to race speed.

I think its one of the things that if you can enter the pits from turn 3/4 and not take anyone out, then you may do so, but remember, that if you do there are repercussions. I believe Wood is able to enter the turn that way; its one of the ways he is able to make up lost time or break away from others drivers.
Wood, if you enter at turn 3, I'm sorry for making a mistake.

Isn't this the way it is every week. If you can avoid trouble, you can come away with a podium finish.Mattly wrote:This is like an episode of Survivor. It's not about all out speed tonight, it's about survival. Your first 10 laps are the most important, so just focus on staying alive even if your giving away position. Of course i'm hoping you will not take any notice of the above advice

Yeah, this season I've been looking at the top qual times on the tracks from the last two seasons then driving around till I figure the line I need to drive to get close. At 8-Bowl I had it down but this one is a lot trickier, for me anyway, I only hit the 6's 50% of the time in qual sessions.odonohuesp wrote:Your time woudl have gotten you 2nd last year.
Pole was 30.647......by Wood of course.
I'm also finding it very helpful getting to know where I can and can't push things on the various lines.
The top guys in the league starting at the back helps with getting up near the top in the qual times this season too
Cop: Are you OK?
Randolph: I don't know. I'm kinda ****ed up in general, so it's hard to gauge.

You just do it better than us then. the time you gain in the pits is just amazing, maybe we can throw down some oil in your pit stall, so your guys will slip a little bit.Wood wrote:Yeah, I enter before turn 3, Always have at Texas and Atlanta.odonohuesp wrote: Wood, if you enter at turn 3, I'm sorry for making a mistake.

I've wanted something to do this for a while because I don't have any kind of profile software. So I stopped being lazy and found http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA016823 ... glish.html Seems to work well enough. I've just set my No.3 button to "ctrl" (my push-to-talk key) and left all others disabled. Works well.RedValiant wrote:Does anyone know if it is possible to map chat keys to a MSFF wheel? I know the Logitech wheels are modable but MS did away with their excellent sidewinder software for XP. Would make life much easier if i could toggle the info /PI-PO ect to the wheel and not have to reach for the Keyboard.

Cheers for the RIPPINGS
It's all very well if you're in a ding, but once you've had your ding it's a good idea to NOT drive onto the fkn racing line !!! bitch hos !.
Bollocks to it !.
All fun and games tho dings aside, Maybe now with my shitter result I'll be able to qual next week hopefuly up the front so I don't have to drive through all the first and second corner dings !

Can't complain too much about the race, but two things that caught my attention out there.
1. WTF happened in the last 10-15 laps?? Crashes everywhere, almost every lap and I was involved in two?!?!
2. When someone signals that they wish to come into the pits, It's not a good idea to stick the nose up the inside just as they start to turn into pitlane!!!
Anyway the race was Odie's from the first pitstop, I had to pit a lap early due to the extra fuel burned moving through the field, so I always had to do a 4th stop.
Fuel economy won the day, gg Odie
And I'm in the middle of a bit of a drought
