Re: New PC Help
That's looks like a beast of a PC Corrin bro and I'm confident it'll run Battlefield Bad Company 2 plus PC games in the future like rF2.
Plenty of memory, nice graphics card and plenty of space on the hard drive.
I'm not sure on that 11ghz CPU Speed though, would that be overclocked?.....someone else might be able to answer that.

Re: New PC Help
420w PSU is on the low end as well, you want atleast 500w maybe more to future proof.

Re: New PC Help
That 420w PSU must be struggling to power that GFX card surely. .
Anyways looks good Corrin, I'm running BC2 on a PC with almost half the specs of what you've posted and still getting around 40-50fps which is still good for such a high detail game

Re: New PC Help
IMHO for gaming PC build / buy advice, you should also check the GP Forums PC help forum: http://www.gpforums.co.nz/forum/PC-Build-Help, particularly the "Default GP $500 - $2000+ PC Build Suggestions" and "The Official GP Guide On Building a PC" threads.
Buying from a reputable store (Computer Lounge, PBTech etc) gives you more chance of getting parts replaced easily in case of warranty problems (speaking from experience!).

All this is for $890 which sounds pretty good going by what has been said.ugmo wrote:420w PSU is on the low end as well, you want atleast 500w maybe more to future proof.
Do you think this could be a bit dodgey with 420w power supply?

Re: New PC Help
The power supply itself doesn't seem dodgy the whole package seems fine, It just would hurt to bump up to at least a 500-550w power supply

Re: New PC Help
Yeah whole new PSU depending on how many watts you want i.e 500-550 (I have a 500) will depend on price obviously but, but you will be looking around the $150 - $200 area for say a 500-550 watt. Fitting them is relatively simple, but if your not sure it wouldn't hurt to whip down to a shop or if you know a mate that knows his stuff get him to wack it in for ya.
