Sure was an awesome game last night, Titans were in their for a while but the Roosters wanted it more and deserved the good win last night............so wrapped for all the Kiwi boy's in the Roosters bro and Braith Anasta, he pulled one out of the bag last night, Mitchell Pierce is solid on defense, those bloody Aussies have so much talent to pick from for the Kangaroos.

Can't wait for tonight's big clash - Dragons (Minor Premiers) vs Tigers, gonna be mean as alright.

Hey Mentl bro, at least we'll have two NSW teams in the GF next weekend, that'll keep us Blues fans happy for now :D

Bloody close game alright, Dragons 13 - Tigers 12, oh well I can't pick them to save myself, I had the Titans vs Tiger GF next Sunday, but at least the Junior Warriors got there and will take on the inform Rabbitohs.

Guttered for Benji and the Tigers. But two great coaches go head to head in the GF, Bennett vs Smith.

I'm looking forward to next Sunday, 16 hours of Rugby League, all the NRL finals and the Super League GF.

Yeah mate I hear ya ;(

I cant see the Dragons beating the Rooster tbh they only just bet the Tigers who had no forwards whats so ever! And in my view that was the one thing that the Tigers where missing last night was some good hit ups, punching holes and making big metres and thats something that the Roosters had pletty of! :)

My prediction is Jared Waerea-Hargreaves is going to send one of the Dragons players for a free ride in the :amb: :larf: bring it on!!!

Look at the halves, Carney + Pearce vs Soward & Hornby. No doubt the Roosters will be more creative imo. Hornby just saarks big ones for creative plays ..
It's only the Dragons big men who gets them up there, Big weyman & costigan& others in gaining yards .. Roosters have big boys too nuuausala , miles, anasta plenty more. Sharks, too much too say :larf: Looking foward to this game but :D

http://www.nrlnews.com/2010/09/22/forme ... g-scandal/

The nrl betting scandal

dates are a while ago but only heard this today...
Former promiment player linked to betting scandal

September 22, 2010

CCTV footage has been obtained by police of a retired rugby league star placing an uncharastically large bet on the primary game in question, the Rd 24 clash between the Canterbury Bulldogs and the North Queensland Cowboys that is under investigation for a suspected betting splurge.

Officers have discovered images of the former prominent player at a Sydney TAB placing a large amount on the Cowboys to kick a penalty goal as the first scoring option in the game, an option which is unusual to bet on.

For legal reasons, the player cannot be named, but he has spoken to various media outlets in an attempt to have the story withdrawn and discarded.

“They’ve probably got footage of 1000 people,” he said.

“So why would you just want to name me?

“I put a bet on but it was for someone else and I’ve got nothing to do with any sting or any scandal.

“Are you trying to say I’m not allowed to go into a TAB to have a bet? I don’t know Ryan Tandy. I don’t know anything about it.”

There has also been a text message surfacing that has implicated 4 players in the betting scandal, none of which can be named for legal reasons.

All 4 of these players were named in an audacious plot for the Cowboys to score a penalty goal in the opening minutes of the game.

The retired player in question who is clearly seen on CCTV footage, a prominent player agent and a nightclub owner have also been mentioned in the text that has surfaced.

The claim is that the police will only step up the investigation after the Grand Final, so that the spotlight is not taken away from the winner.

The text message in question has been forwarded to the authorities who have confirmed that they are investigating the scandal.

A police spokesperson said: “The investigation is ongoing and there is nothing to elaborate on at this stage.”

A well known punter is also being investigated using CCTV footage who was in the same TAB as the former player, both of whom chose to put money on the Cowboys scoring the first points via a penalty goal.

Bets on the first-scoring option in the game were suspended by all bookmakers after there was a clear plunge of about $500,000 to the group of punters.

Bummer alright Chris :D

2010 NRL GRAND FINAL DAY

Well today is the day were two great coaches go head to head - Bennett vs Smith and also two teams who deserve to be there in todays NRL Grand Final

THE DRAGONS vs THE ROOSTERS

Some key match ups in todays final, Carney and Pierce vs Soward and Hornby, Perrett vs Nightingale, Minichello vs Boyd, Anasta vs Smith, Nuuausala vs Weyman, Kenny-Dowell vs Cooper......damn the list goes on.

TOYOTA CUP GRAND FINAL - Junior Warriors vs South Sydney Rabbitohs.........my hearts with the Jnr Warriors but they're going to have to play at their very best and be mistake free.....forget about the previous 2 wins that the Jnr Warriors have had over the Rabbits as Grand Final day you have to be on your game.

Go the Roosters and the Warriors _b
