Is anyone keen on putting in a 5 man team for this?
Chuck names below - Team entries close on the 10th I believe.

Managed to cut about 40 seconds off after my practice run, currently in 237th place on 28:27.135.
I really need to play more of this game, it's so good now they have VR working nicely

Yes, I didn't realise only had one run through to post a time. Redownloaded the game, setup the controls in the first stage and then had no idea where I was going for the remainder think my time ended up around 29m10 or so.
Might do some practise before the next round

There are, but the car selection didn't seem to include my 'owned' car, so not sure they affect the club races.Bull wrote:Wait, theres upgrades?

Re: Hyundai NZ Global Rally eSeries
I'm guessing some of you forgot this was on again this weekend.. And you know there are two legs to each rally? First leg available Friday/Saturday. Second leg Sunday/Monday.
I lost way too much time in stage 2 last night, ended up in 142nd place on 31m58. Hayden is in 117th on 31m15. Waterburrito smashing it in 59th place, 29m32. Can't see results for anyone else..
Still time to try and get the club into the top 10, but will help if we can all complete each round
Poland rally leg is up now I'll probably do my stages tonight.

Re: Hyundai NZ Global Rally eSeries
I think a few dropped off,
I had a much better Round 2 than 1, Manged to just sneak inside the top 100 each stage.
I generally pick the longest stage and smash that. short stages seem to be just variations of the same longer stage.
I'm still waaay of being competitve.
Our ring in 'WaterBuritto' is fast though!
Sitting about 155 overall.

Re: Hyundai NZ Global Rally eSeries
I've been doing a single run through of the whole rally before doing the club run. Usually I'm a minute or two quicker on the second run through, and definitely less car damage.
I didn't especially enjoy Poland, very fast, but narrow roads weren't very forgiving. I made two stupid mistakes resulting in several barrel rolls, adding atleast a minute to my total. Thankfully only panel damage! The heavy rain made things interesting... Could hardly see out the windscreen in places.

Re: Hyundai NZ Global Rally eSeries
Forgot to load my setup for the first three stages,
I decided to run softs for last 3 stages of first leg and the dropped of massively towards mid way of the last stage, ran off a couple of times.
Think i left a good couple of mins out there after end of leg 1

Re: Hyundai NZ Global Rally eSeries
Had some 'mechanical gremlins' today..
My pedals started playing up this week, something dodgy with the cable connection to the wheel. I thought I had it working fine, and had no issues all through my practice run, so jumped into the real thing, and then 2/3rds of the way through the first stage, no pedals at all... Took two minutes to pull the wheel off my stand and wiggle the cable to get it going again.
After that I was stopped to check the cable every now and then, and after stage 4 alt-tabbed out to check it in game controllers, and re-adjust the cable. Unfortunately, the game crashed, and it ended up giving me a DNF for stage 4, event though I had completed a relatively clean run..
Can't see my results for stage 4-6 on the web page, but think i will be about 300th...

That's a bit niggly!
Managed to consistently hit top 70 for day two,
Had 1 wee off right before the finish of the second pass through Cenetera.
Sitting 60th in Day two as it stands, horrible day 1 though - maybe 150th?

Re: Hyundai NZ Global Rally eSeries
Day two much better for me!
Switched to the VW and it felt really good, and I can see the gear indicator easily in VR.
I'm currently sitting in 45th!
I only had one off the hole leg, was a fairly big off on a fast corner, but luckily just grass to slide across. It probably cost about 15 seconds, the rest of the rally was nice and smooth

Still a little over 24 hours to go but a relatively safe run!
Did get away with one barrel roll managed to get it to 39th as it stands for Leg 1
I also feel like I've cheated a bit an switched to bonnet view - but I get so much more visability!

Re: Hyundai NZ Global Rally eSeries
Well done, I was doing OK in NZ up until stage 4, when i went down a bank on a not even tricky corner, and ended up with a puncture. It was fairly early in the stage so I decided to stop and repair it, which cost me about 30s faffing around trying to work out how to do it, and then the 1m penalty for repairing. The rest of the rally was reasonably clean, just let down by one corner again! Finished NZ in 153rd, which wasn't too bad considering the puncture.
Just finished Argentina. Not fun stages, but managed to keep it reasonably clean when it counted. Sitting not far behind you in 40th, but obviously a lot of drivers yet to complete.
I do wish they would go back to treating each leg separately. My good run last week on the second leg at Spain didn't count for many points..
