NZrFL 58: Battle of Japan

Post by Obsc3ne » Tue Aug 04, 2020 10:04 am

After the success that was the Cortina Cup we thought we'd move ahead in technology......slightly. The battle of Japan puts 2 giants of the motoring world head to head. Nissan vs Toyota. Who will you take in this battle for the ages.

This league once again looks to be a lot of fun, 2 evenly matched cars that can rub paint without issue, the rev limit is when you reach valve bounce and keeping it straight and tidy is approximately 15 degrees of over-steer.

A wide Variety of Japanese tracks, with the tight and twisty Knutstorp Ring (Sweden) finishing off the league after a KSR member suggested it for use.

Mod Download: Nissan Skyline 2000GTR and Toyota Celica TA22

Schedule:
[11/08] - Official Practice
[18/08] - Round 1 - Okayama
[25/08] - Round 2 - Autopolis
[01/09] - Round 3 - Suzuka - East Short
[08/09] - Round 4 - Tsukuba
[15/09] - Round 5 - Knutstorp Ring

For those unfamiliar with installing non-steam workshop tracks, instructions are below:

1: Download the file from above, and save it into your rFactor 2 Packages folder - this can be found by right clicking rFactor 2 in Steam, going to properties, local files, browse local files.
2: Launch rFactor 2.
3: On rFactor 2 Launcher screen, click on the box icon (second icon on the left).
4: Scroll down the list until you find the track name or filter by uninstalled.
5: Click on the track name, then click on install at the bottom.
6: Repeat Step 4 & 5 for each track.
7: Done!

The clutches are crap, the brakes on the Celica are terrible (the Skyline doesn't have any) and both steer like a dead fish. O_o

No idea how you guys are setting those lap times! 8o

Thanks for the racing everyone.

Congrats on Viking on the series win.
