NZACCL 1: Porsche 911 Cup

Post by Johnbags » Mon Dec 21, 2020 9:15 pm

WE HAVE MOVED!
I'm moving this championship back to the Pheney E-Sports discord, where we ran the first season of Porsche Cup!
All the rules and times remain the same, just gonna be more suited to how I want to manage the league!
Link to our discord is here Pheney Racing E-Sports

Hey all! I'm excited to announce KSR's first steps into ACC with a Porsche 911 Cup league, hosted fortnightly on Sunday nights at 7pm!

For our inaugural season we will be using base content and 2019 variants of tracks to keep it straightforward and cheap for any newcomers.

Custom Liveries are welcome! You can upload them and download them at our Google drive here
(You don't need to install custom liveries if you don't want to, the game will just use their in-game custom livery instead)

Weather will be in effect! Server weather settings will be posted with each race as we may have to adjust things to avoid monsoon-like conditions in certain parts of Europe.
The weather system is completely random so none of us know if it will rain or not!

Teams: Two driver teams are encouraged! There will be a teams championship running alongside the drivers championship, post your team name below and list the two drivers so I can add you to the scoreboard!

Calendar:

[17/01] - Silverstone
[31/01] - Monza
[14/02] - Misano
[28/02] - Paul Ricard
[14/03] - Zandvoort
[28/03] - Nürburgring GP

Race night format:
Qualifying starts at 7pm NZDT and is an 8 minute session
Race begins around 7.15pm NZDT and goes for 45 minutes
There are no mandatory pit stops

For any drivers new to KSR, these are the race rules

Replays are uploaded here
Drag them into your Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione\Replay folder to view them in-game

I'd love to join, having just picked up ACC in the Steam Winter Sale, but I don't think that time is going to work for me family wise - especially not on a Sunday night.

Excuse my ignorance as I am an ACC virgin (just bought it) but I don't seem to have a 911 in the inventory? I have the porsche 991 GT3 R and a Porsche 991 II GT3 R?

Heya Pete, it should be in the car selection screen with a green tab on the Porsche logo that says "Cup"
You might have to have CUP selected in MP to set it as your car, if you're in Singleplayer make sure at the top of the screen you have either 2018, 2019 or 2020 or ICGT selected as your championship.

It comes with the base game so it will just be hiding in your car selection screen somewhere :)

Hey there, just joined up after seeing you're going to be hosting ACC league races.

Definitely count me in, I'd like to give it a go - unfortunately no second driver though.

Team name: Speed-O-Matix
Driver: Francois Metcalfe

Hey Simon

The ACC menu can be a little convoluted, but basically the easiest way to get there is:
  • On the ACC home screen select Single Player
  • On the Single Player screen select the 2018 series from the top menu and then select the big Team tile
  • On the Car Selection screen click on the currently selected car tile - you should now see all the manufacturer selectable cars for the 2018 series
  • Select the Porsche 991 II GT3 Cup 2017 car that you should find towards the end of the list.
Later...
Francois

Keen to race in this as a solo entry.

Will have to play each race by ear though. 7pm is right on my kids bed time.

Maybe a silly question, but the race video is in some weird file format that I'm unable to open.
