Also important to note rookies that you should have a quick look at the previous season or so drivers from both rookie and main league. You can not use a number used by previous and current drivers unless you receive permission from that driver. The numbers 1 through to 50 are reserved for winners of those positions after every league.
Unfortunately there is no easy way to do this is except by going to SimRacerHQ and check the analysis of last seasons main and rookie leagues as that is pretty well the only place car numbers show up as the previous seasons driver list no longer appears on the site. Any numbers that have been used would be unwise to pick because those drivers have first dibs on those and their finishing places from that season. If in doubt choose the number you want but don't paint your car till you have conformation that the number is yours.

Also note that the complete 300 range of numbers are reserved as well because the server uses them.
So you are only allowed to chosse numbers from 50 to 299 and 400 to 999 as long as they are not taken by previous season drivers. If for example a driver like myself uses 444 normally but last season I got 2nd so I can choose to take the number 2 (effectively 2NZ) for the next season. So if you want the number 444 you can request to use it if I'm using 2 or you can request to use the number 2 if I'm sticking with 444.
Either way both numbers now belong to me for the next season and I am entitled to keep both of them even though I'm not using both. This applies to all drivers from season 8 of the main league. Their finishing spot is their number and any number they use on a regular basis from previous seasons.

One problem at the moment Inspector, all the internal links for the replay analysis site are broken. I'll try and get a list up from previous replays I've stored tonight.
Remember that drivers who are entering the main league for the first time are eligible to enter and gain points in the rookie league standings.

Thanks Gareth
Also we did briefly talk about the possibility of running a seperate team league within the rookie league where one senior driver was paired up with a rookie driver and their points were added as a seperate score with ultimate aim being that the senior driver would work together with the rookie driver, not only on the track but through hints and tips for driving, pitting track help etc. Possibly scoring is not the right way to do it but using some sort of buddy system would be great for the league as a whole.
If you do consider this I will put my name down and I have already talked with Shane (199p) about pairing up with him. Either way I will be attending every rookie race and will be happy to help any rookies seeking advice.
I not only encourage, but challenge all the senior drivers to do the same. We have one of the biggest groups of rookies this season than we have ever had with at least 8 new guys signing up that I am aware of and more are showing interest so now is the time for the senior drivers to make an investment in the future of their NZNL.

No one used it last season, or to my knowledge recently, so that number should be OK. Register it at the SimRacerHQ site, under the Members Area -> Roster Info -> NZNL: Rookie League area.craig svo wrote:just woundering if i can have 116
