Inspire will organise hosting it on files.inspire.net.nz (hopefully later today or early tomorrow). :)

Just downloaded and played it for about 30 mins, nothing new its just BF2 with hitech wepons which was expected really, seems to run much worse than BF2 does on my rig and seemed quite laggy for me, I wont rush out to buy this ill stick with BF2 unless lets of SCu jump on the BF2142 wagon and start playing it instead of BF2.

Indeed, with the demo weighing in at 1105MB it seems a silly choice to ave left out the DX9 stuff for the sake of ~50MB.

Thoughts on the demo?

I haven't bothered playing it, as all I've seen so far is a lot of negative comments and practically no positive comments.

BF1942 = greatest mp game to date

all other BF games since then have just got worse. I tried the demo even though I really couldn't be bothered but got bored after one round.

BF2 and BF2142 seem to be aimed for people who play on pubs all day which is probably where most of their money is made.

Well I would have grabbed the demo and given it a go, but I've just been too busy playing through the Company of Heroes campaign :)

I have to disagree with you though Tom, BF2 is definately better than 1942 :D I dont have terribly high expectations for 2142 though. I expect it will be more like Battlefield Veitnam, which I just never got into.
